Sometimes the most difficult part of leadership is recognizing when a team member is doing a good job – or a bad one. When things run smoothly, there are no customer or staff complaints, numbers and goals are being met, leaders frequently think everything is fine. And it may be, but supervisors need to know how to objectively identify success in a position. This is even more important as more and more roles are remote.
In this class we will discuss ways to provide feedback, day to day habits that can make formal performance reviews easier to complete, ways to motivate and encourage staff, and how to kindly and candidly address poor performance in a way that protects the organization from legal liability.
